Pleased to be working on the newest Vancouver Public Library branch in Strathcona, we are delighted to share that the official name for the branch will be named ‘nə́c̓aʔmat ct’. Revealed Friday, the name will be the first major civic building to have an aboriginal name. The name is Musqueam, recognizing and honouring the Coast Salish peoples.
Construction is expected to begin in the Downtown Eastside in the next few months.
