Project Overview
The YWCA Hotel, a social enterprise run by YWCA Metro Vancouver, is located in Downtown Vancouver. Built in 1994, the hotel generates revenue that supports the Association’s mission of providing housing and support to low-income single mothers and their children. It offers accommodations both for visitors to the city and for people seeking affordable short-term housing.
The original building included 155 guest rooms and was designed with the capacity to add 65 more rooms on the podium level.
As the Owner’s Representative, CitySpaces managed the selection of the design team and construction manager, andplayed a central role in securing project funding. We continued to serve as Project Manager throughout the stages of design development, City of Vancouver approvals, tendering, and construction.
