Project Overview
The Trail & District Senior Citizens’ Villa Society is redeveloping its property at 1955 Seventh Avenue in Trail, BC, to deliver 41-units of affordable senior’s housing, an increase of 18-units over the original site capacity. The new building will feature all one-bedroom units, designed to be adaptable for aging in-place. The project will also include enhanced outdoor spaces and upgraded landscaping to support resident well-being and community connection.
Key Highlights
For the past decade plans for upgrading the site to add more units and better living accommodations for seniors in the Trail community has been the priority of the Trail & District Senior Citizens’ Villa Society. CitySpaces has provided direction on navigating the redevelopment processes and securing funding from the BC Housing Community Housing Fund, which was awarded in 2023. After many years of planning, sourcing funding, and permitting, The Villa and CSC were able to bring the project to groundbreaking in September 2025. This two phased project, which includes the new building and removal of the old units, is set to be completed by mid-2027.
