This $14 million facility is the result of the unique and complex interrelationship of a health authority, a regional hospital district, a non-profit society, a foundation and BC Housing. Opened in March 2006, the Hillside complex houses 45 supported living apartments for low income seniors and people with disabilities above a ground floor, 12-room respite hotel, wellness centre and primary care centre. The facility was built on a former surface parking lot, next door to Aberdeen Hospital in an established neighbourhood. Private donors provided more than $2.5 million towards the project.
CitySpaces undertook all aspects of project planning and acted as the Development Consultant. The project was completed on schedule and under budget.
