CitySpaces was engaged to draft a community plan and development concept for the 632-ha Bamberton property, located along the western shoreline of Saanich Inlet. The plan, for the former cement plant and quarry operation, envisaged a Bamberton waterfront village centre, new residential neighbourhoods and an extensive open space and trail system to be developed over a 25-year period. Included in this plan were design guidelines for the village centre and residential neighbourhoods at Bamberton. The land has subsequently been the subject of further planning work.
