Welcome to the leadership team Elizabeth FitzZaland!
Elizabeth’s long relationship with CitySpaces began two decades ago when she interned during her graduate studies. Since then, Elizabeth has worked in the public sector, led a successful private practice, and worked at CitySpaces in senior positions on both the planning and development teams. Her demonstrated leadership, along with her inexhaustible energy and genuine care for our CitySpaces team and clients make Elizabeth an obvious fit for our leadership team.
Elizabeth has spearheaded planning and social purpose development projects across Western Canada and United States. In BC and Yukon, she has navigated intricate, high-profile endeavours for non-profit and Indigenous organizations, private sector entities, as well as local and regional governments. Her expertise as a development manager is complimented by her profound understanding of land use planning, design, business, and construction. This multifaceted proficiency allows her to approach projects comprehensively, foreseeing challenges and opportunities from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Elizabeth is inspired by our incredible clients working to create more inclusive, resilient, and safer communities – This was her reason for interning at CitySpaces 20 years and is the reason she is thrilled to help guide the next chapter of the firm.
