As a key part of the Regional Transportation Plan, the CRD’s Pedestrian and Cycling Master Plan (PCMP) envisions the Capital Region as a truly livable and environmentally sustainable community, where cycling is a key component of an innovative and integrated transportation system. In light of this, we’ve pulled together a few upcoming Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition and CRD cycling events that we are planning to attend over the next few weeks. Spaces are still available for below events.
UPCOMING THIS WEEK:
Trans-form Speaker’s Series Session 2: Building Momentum
Brought to you by the the CRD and the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition, the Trans-form Speaker’s Series sparks dialogue about city-building, vibrant public spaces, mobility, health, urban design and livability. Let leading experts inspire and educate with fast-paced presentations.
Session 2: Riding a bicycle is good for you— and the environment. How do we encourage more people to travel by bike?
Speakers will dispel cycling safety myths and explore how driving, walking and cycling shape our experience of moving through our environment.
