CitySpaces Launches Redesigned Website
We’ve been working behind the scenes and are thrilled to start 2026 by sharing CitySpaces’ newly redesigned website, designed to honour our 40-year legacy while embracing our evolution and vision for the future.
Our goal was simple: to better articulate who we are today, the depth of our practice, the high standard and care we bring to our work, and the communities we serve. The new website offers improved clarity, accessibility, and storytelling, making it easier to explore our services, projects, and resources.
Inspired by natural elements, CitySpaces’ updated website reflects our connection beyond cities to rural and remote communities of all sizes across Western Canada and the North. The design also reinforces the idea of pathways, a theme central to our work: past to present, vision to implementation, ideas to action. As an integrated practice of professional planners and development consultants, we feel uniquely positioned to carry projects through in a way that’s unified, thoughtful, and centred around community needs.
CitySpaces’ story began in 1985, when Linda Allen and Gwyn Symmons founded the firm with an enduring vision to make Canadian communities more inclusive, livable, and socially sustainable. Forty years on, that vision continues to guide our team. We’ve served more than 100 communities, delivered 2,300+ homes, and published strategies and plans that shape social-purpose community development across Western Canada and the North.
CitySpaces collaborated with the team at Trapeze Communications to bring this project to life. The redesigned website features updated visual elements, an expanded colour palette, and improved navigation to enhance clarity, accessibility, and storytelling.
