Project Overview
Heart on the Hill provides 36-units of housing to low- and moderate-income households, including persons with developmental disabilities, seniors, and families. The ground level also includes a community hall and commercial kitchen, which will be used for various Ladysmith Resources Centre Association community programming and other organizations for compatible uses. The project was completed in Spring and tenanted Summer 2023.
Key Highlights
CitySpaces Consulting served as the Development Consultant and Owner’s Representative for the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association, supporting the affordable housing project from the working drawings stage through to post-occupancy. The development expands the Association’s housing services by delivering purpose-built rental units just steps away from its main office, where programs and services are delivered to the community.
Funding partners for this project included BC Housing, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the Town of Ladysmith, Cowichan Housing Association, and numerous generous local donors.
