CitySpaces led a design team in preparing the Saskatoon South Downtown Concept Plan – a plan that became the cornerstone and strategic framework for River Landing. Developed in two phases, River Landing is a showcase for brownfield redevelopment, the sites was the location of a former powerstation and a vacated school. River Landing includes or is being developed to include a riverfront park and promenade, public art landmark, performance theatre, adaptive reuse of buildings for a Famers’ Market and business incubator, mixed forms of residential housing, shops, cafes and offices. Gwyn Symmons was the lead individual in this planning process which involved the development of the concept plan, and open house and a variety of presentations.
